Problem accessing DLNA server from satellite
Hello all,
I have a very similar issue to the one describe in this thread: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Problem-accessing-NAS-DLNA-from-the-satelite/m-p/1756357
My confiruration is:
Orbi Router SRR60 running V2.7.2.102 firmware.
Orbi Satellite SRS60 running V2.7.2.102 firmware.
LG TV wired to router.
When a DLNA server in running on a PC wired to the router, the TV detects it immediatelly, when the same PC is wired to the satellite, the TV can't detect the DLNA server.
I've tried it with multiple DLNA servers sych as miniDLNA and Universal Media Server.
I have tried full factory reset, and the same issue occured.
DHCP or fixed IP makes no difference.
Enabeling/disabeling Daisy Chain makes no difference.
I never had that issue with my old non-mesh router + Wifi Extender (Netgear EX6150) configuration.
Does anyone have any suggestion?
Thank you !

Re: Problem accessing DLNA server from satellite
Is there a switch in the network?
How is the satellite connected to the router? (Ethernet or WiFi)?

Re: Problem accessing DLNA server from satellite
No switch in the network.
Satellite is connected via WiFi.

Does your system have a setting for WiFi MultiMedia?

Re: Problem accessing DLNA server from satellite
Yes.
WMM is enabled for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.

What about UpNP?
I have a dim memory of one reason Orbi's have "issues" with some unmanaged network switches is the vendor's implementation of IGMP Snooping. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IGMP_snooping Notice the discussion under IGMP Querier. I found an Android app called UPnP Scanner that identifies the UpNP devices on the network and was able to find that an RBR50 router behaved differently when UpNP was enabled vs. disabled.
Sorry to flounder around.

Re: Problem accessing DLNA server from satellite
No worries, I appreciate you trying and help me.
My UPnP settings was on with Advertisement Period(in minutes) = 30 and Advertisement Time to Live(in hops) = 4.
I wanted to do some more tests with different setting, however, my TV stopped working, most of the screen blacks out after 30 seconds.
It's wierd, because each time the TV is turned on, it looks good for 30 seconds.
Anyway, I'm putting this DLNA issue on hold until I can solve the issue with TV, or get a new one (which will not be an LG).
Thanks again for all your time and effort.
