connect router and satellite with ethernet

Hello,

based on how my house is setup I would like to use this ethernet cable I put years ago in the wall to connect the router with the satelitte? is it an option or you just have to fingercrossed that the wifi will do the trick?

  • More than an option - if the cable is at least CAT5/CAT5E or better, and all four pairs are working, that's the (in my opinion the preferred) way to go.
