Set up my new Orbi Mesh Router wtih two satellites - everything in the house connected without issue...except my NordicTrack iFit s10i console (which I believe is a highly modified low-spec Android tablet) - it tries to connect for about 15 seconds and then says unable to connect to network.
My set up is with Australian NBN FTTN with iiNet through a TPLink VR1600V modem to the Orbi hub and then two satellites. Wifi is disabled on the modem.
NordicTrack technical support has suggested that my hardware set up with iiNet is the issue, but this problem only occurs with this device, not any of dozens of others I have connected to the network without a single issue. They have also given me an enormous number of steps to uninstall/reinstall the console software, reinitialise the console, etc. etc. with no luck. They at one point suggested that I configure the following but I do not see anyway to set up the ports (whitelisting is not useful since I am using a blacklisting approach and none of those urls are blacklisted):
Please check your router settings and ensure the following servers are whitelisted:
• google.com (http://google.com)
• gateway.ifit.com (http://gateway.ifit.com)
• ifit-wolf.s3-cdn.ifit.com (http://ifit-wolf.s3-cdn.ifit.com)
• cdn.ifit.com (http://cdn.ifit.com)
• app.launchdarkly.com (http://app.launchdarkly.com)
As well please ensure the following ports are opened:
• TCP port: 80 - HTTP
• TCP port: 443 - HTTPS
• TCP port: 4348 - iFit
• UDP port: 4348 - iFit
1. Any idea how or where I try to open those ports (also nowhere to do that on the TP-Link modem that I can find - I am messaging TP-Link separately for suggestions)
2. Any other ideas on how to address this?
Thanks for anyone who has the time to be bothered and try to help!

I've seen some older or IoT devices that struggle with the AX spec. Its supposed to be backwards compatible but sketchy coding on the older or IoT devices can have issues.
Does it connect if you disable AX?
Are you using WPA3? Try disabling that and using WPA2

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
The tplink is a modem/router combo. Turning off the wifi on it doesn't disable its router function and it causes a double nat.
some devices tolerate a double nat better than others.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.
https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
Thank you - so I have my TP-Link set up with PPPOe and the Orbi in AP mode with everything working...except that bloody iFit device. I tried to set up TP-Link as a Bridge and use Orbi in router mode but could not get that working. I just ran a full Route This test on the netword and it is detecting that I still have a double NAT issue despite the set up. Not sure where to go from here to address the double NAT issue and see if that resolves the iFit device issue. To complicate things, since putting Orbi into AP mode, I can no longer access it from orbilogin.com so I can't even get to the control panel to change it back to router mode or any other setting (the phone app is pretty light on with the advance settings).

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
And I should correct - I have the Orbi RBR850 hub + two satallites - for some reason that was not an option in the dropdown when setting up this question/post

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
On last update - I have also tried the option 2 - DMA approach but still getting double NAT - first two pings on a tracert are:
1 10 ms 3 ms 2 ms 10.0.0.1
2 6 ms 7 ms 15 ms 192-168-1-1.tpgi.com.au [192.168.1.1]

Factory reset, however, only works on the latest consoles. To see if your NordicTrack machine is compatible with this process, look at your settings, and verify your firmware version. Versions available for factory reset begin with 7.1. You can also see if your machine is compatible by looking at your console. If your machine has a USB or an HDMI port, it is not compatible with this process.

Yay! - Disabling AX on the Orbi router and the device connected no problem. A solution! Thank you so much.

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
what a rubbish solution from ifit - doing all that whitelisting issn't doing a damn thing if it won't join the wifi network.
My orbi network doesn't do 2.4ghz very well. no 2.4 on the sattelites so my eliptical is doing its hardest to connect to the router because the ifit itself only supports 2.4
if the ifit would support 5ghz or if the orbi sattelites would do 2.4ghz then there would be no issue
this reddit post seems the best description of the issue

Re: Cannot connect NordicTrack iFit console (model s10i) to Orbi WiFi 6 mesh router
Something to contact the mfr of your iFit device for help and support regarding there product. Seems like it even has problems with Googles MESH systems as well.
