I just got a brand new Orbi 6 AX4200 RBK753. It has dropped internet connection with the router showing solid magenta/red and won’t reconnect or resolve the error without a power off reset for the router. Modem working just fine. I’m in Australia, it’s $1000 for this product here. I am taking it back for a refund.
Does your ISP service the modem with a least time out by chance?
Seen others report that your ISP has a short least time out. Wondering if this would be happening and causing the RBR to drop from the modem. Modem may not be re-establishing the connection with the RBR for unknown reasons.
Not sure about a least time out. Previously had a Netgear NightHawke and if I had drop out it would simply come back. But did have drop out on occasion. Would love a solution to force it reconnect as otherwise works amazingly well.
Does the Connection Device have a web page to check it's operation and any uptime and diagnostics by chance? Would be interesting to see if this reports similar changes in uptime when the RBR looses it's connection...
I would check with the ISP to see on what the least time is. Also ask them to check to see if there logs report any changes when you notice the RBRs connection goes down.
Might check MTU values as well from the ISP.
Ask them about using a STATIC WAN IP address as well.
Since your unit is new, you might open up a support ticket on this and let NG know what your having problem with and take advantage of in warranty support options.
