NOTE: Be sure to keep the RBS and RBR at the same level FW level from the RBK653 download site. Don't mix FW from the RBK750 series site. The FW from the RBK/RBS750 series is NOT compatible with RBS350 series.
Please navigate to the link below for step-by-step instructions on how to update your RBR750/RBS350:
Be sure to update the RBS FIRST, then the RBR lastly.
NOTE: Orbi app or the routers web page may not report seeing new FW updates. NG may not push this to there auto update services immediately and may activate the newer FW update being seen on there auto update services at a later time. User will have the choice to manually update if you want too.
NOTE: The Disable Auto Update feature only prevents ANY new FW from being installed if available. This does NOT prevent the system from checking NG services to see if new FW is available. If new FW is available, this will be displayed as a notification to the user on the RBRs web page only. It will be up to the user to upgrade FW or not.
A factory reset maybe needed if problems are encountered after the FW update:
https://kb.netgear.com/31486/How-do-I-reset-my-Orbi-system-to-factory-default-settings
NOTE: Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200
This article applies to:
Which this includes the RBR750 and RBS350 seeing with in the RBK650 series box sets. DO NOT USE this FW for RBK750 series kit systems (RBR750/RBS750).
Let us know how it works for you in this thread post...

Re: New - RBK653 Firmware Version 4.6.14.3 Released
I was able to update my RBS350 Sats that were included with my RBR750. In my case the RBR750 had upgraded to 4.6.14.3 by itself and the satellites did not auto update. As a result the satellites were constantly out of sync, errors, etc and not working correctly because they were behind on firmware.
I had to log into them manually after figuring out their two dedicated local IPs. The username/password is the same as the main router for other users that may be coming from google / elsewhere to find a solution.
This fixed that, thank you!

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: New - RBK653 Firmware Version 4.6.14.3 Released
Any insights into when the latest firmware for the RBS350s will be out? I have an RBR750 but the satellites are RSB350s...I'm surprised that they don't have the 7.x firmware yet.

You don't have the RBR350?
Is your system a RBK350 series or something different?
Are you having problems with this system?

Re: New - RBK653 Firmware Version 4.6.14.3 Released
It's an RBK653 system...RBR750 plus 2xRBS350.
All are V4.6.14.3, but I saw that the RBR750 has 7.2.6.21 and wondered when the satellites were catching up; I don't like to mix versions.
It's working fine as-is.

There we go, I forgot about the 650 series. Yes be sure to keep the RBS and RBR at the same level from the RBK653 download site. Don't mix from the RBK750 series site. I'll check and see.

Re: New - RBK653 Firmware Version 4.6.14.3 Released
Any update? It seems like quite a while...I think it's shabby to update a router and not update all the compatible satellites SOLD AS A KIT.

Something to contact NG support about and let them know.
Good Luck.

I tried; no luck. It's really irritating to have a mass-market product left behind.

Re: New - RBK653 Firmware Version 4.6.14.3 Released
I believe that since the 750 and 350 series are technically different and 350s are only dual band supporting, can only presume that there maybe incompatibilities with newer FW that doesn't work on the 350 series. The 350 series was a budget system.
Something you can do, and try...find you some RBS750 series satellites, check places like amazon, ebay or shopgoodwill and if you can, replace the 350s, then update the RBS750s and RBR to v7 FW. Otherwise, use the system as is.

Re: RBR750 Firmware Update Issues
I'm having issues after updating the firmware on my RBR750 router to 7.2,.6.21. It will no longer sync with my RBS350 satellites. I have had to disable auto update and rollback the firmware on my router to 4.6.14.3 to get my satellites to sync. They are running the latest firm ware 4.4.1.29.
I just wanted to let everyone know, not to update if you have this similar configuration.
Thanks

Re: RBR750 Firmware Update Issues
RBS350 is not compatible with v7 FW loaded on RBR750s. You'll need to downgrade the RBR750 back to v4 FW:
