Hi,
I recently purchased a few Eve devices that should work with their Thread network, but are currently falling back to Bluetooth (Eve Motion Blinds / Eve Door and Window Sensor).
I've been working with their support team, and their assessment is that my Orbi AX6000 router is blocking the Bonjour/mDNS protocol.
I've been trying some troubleshooting on my Orbi settings, but struggling to fix the issue on my own (I'm not that familiar with networking).
Based on some other threads here so far I have tried:
1. Enabled RIP_2M
2. Enabled IPv6 (PPPoE using same settings as IPv4)
3. Updated firmware
4. Enabled IPGM Proxying
4. Enabled PCCW IPGM Proxying
I get pretty mixed results in IPv6 tests, it seems like that's technically working but there is usually at least one error (e.g. my browser is avoiding using it), but I'm not really trying to address that specifically.
I'm out of ideas now though, what else can I do to troubleshoot this?

what modem/gateway is the router connected to?
From your description, its a modem/router combo device.
I'd leave it in router mode (disable its wifi) and put the netgear in AP mode.
If you still have issues, it isn't the Orbi blocking anything.
If it works fine, then its an issue from the double nat you're running.

Re: Orbi AX6000 blocking Thread network (Eve devices)
I've also since found a couple of settings on my ZTE router that may have been blocking Multicast, I enabled IGMP and MLD.
My AX6000 is in Router rather than AP Mode, so I don't think this should have mattered, but I've changed it anyway.

Re: Orbi AX6000 blocking Thread network (Eve devices)
Thanks plemans.
I tried this the other day and put the Orbi into AP mode, so my ZTE modem is acting as the router.
Everything works, my blinds devices now connect to Thread.
So unfortunately it was the Orbi (or the combination of both devices). I'd try to revert it back and troubleshoot the Orbi configuration further, but it doesn't really bother me now that it's working, so I'm just going to leave it as-is.
Thanks for your advice.
