Questions about wired backhaul

Hello
I recently bought the Orbi AX6000 rbk852 2 pack
and am pretty happy with it.
However I still get a few weak signals around my house. I have the router upstairs
and the satilite in the basement directly wired into the gaming system for the kids.
I am considering buying another satelite so I can set up the wired backhaul.
Will that give me any additional benifit?
Thanks!

Re: Questions about wired backhaul
Sometimes wired vs wirelss is more stable than wireless or if you want a RBS out a fare distance from the RBR, the RBS won't connect wirelessly so wired RBS can be setup for this configuration. The only draw back is that the back haul speed is limited to 1000Mbos vs 2400Mbps that the Orbi AX provides wirelessly. 1000Mpbs wired speeds are still good and have good performances.

Re: Questions about wired backhaul
Ok, thanks!
So I can still have my satelite in the basement wired into the gaming system,
and buy the 3rd satalite and do the wired backhaul into the main router?
That's what I want to do.
I am fine with the speeds, as the wireless speeds on 5g and kinda all over the place.
Thanks!

Re: Questions about wired backhaul
RBK852
if wireless backhaul is 2400 Mbs while wired is 1000 mbs, would wireless back haul be better than wired?

Re: Questions about wired backhaul
The 2400 is a theoretical maximum. 1000 Mbps over wired is guaranteed with CAT 5e wiring, aka Gigabit Ethernet.
It's unlikely that you beat that over wireless; see this 2017 article: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/your-router-isnt-as-fast-as-you-think-it-is-heres-why/
But if you do, I'd like to know!
