[RBR 750] Make guests use Chromecast on the main network (disabling Orbi guest network isolation?)
I have a RBR 750 in Router mode, and I'd like devices connected to the guest network to use chromecast which is on my main network.
Ideally, I would expose the Chromecast device (and only that) to the guest network, but it looks like that is not currently possible and posted as an idea for future implementation: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Idea-Exchange-For-Home/Shared-resources-between-Main-Guest-6GHz-Iot...
It looks like others have solved similar issues by changing the setting "Allow guests to see each other and access my local network", which I don't see in my network admin page (see attached screenshot). Is it not available in the RBR750?
If so, do I have an option for having my guests cast over Chromecast, other than just having them connect to the main network (which sorta defeats the whole purpose of having a guest network)?

Any Guest Network is isolated from the main WLAN. Due to security concerns.

I see. It looks like devices within the guest network are also isolated from each other, right?
For example, I tried momentarilty putting the chromecast on the guest network. While it is visible from the devices on the guest network, casting doesn't work.

I would believe so.
Guest Network is tied to the WAN port so any and all devices connected to the system get services directly from the WAN side. Nothing should be accessible to the LAN side from the Guest Network.

I see. How would you then approach this problem of having guests access selected devices (printer, chromecast, etc) on the main network? I think it's a fair/common use case.
Is it something that can be done with some other product? (e.g., the Orbi pro line?)

Re: [RBR 750] Make guests use Chromecast on the main network (disabling Orbi guest network isolation
I don't use Guest Network for my printers and streaming devices. All my printers and streamers are on the main WLAN. GN is or was intended for short term guest use. Though seems like GN is being used more commonly for IoT items and such which GN wasn't really intended for. But thats my 2 cents.
Are you having problems with using devices on the main network or is this something that you want to separate from the main network for a specific need? Most devices work well on the main network. For devices that you need a broad connection with, you should keep these on the main network. For some that you don't need broad connectivity, I suppose you could place on the GN if you wanna.

I don't either -- I have all my devices on the main network and use the guest network only for occasional access from external devices, i.e., guests at home, extended family, friends during parties, etc.
I just want them to be able to cast on my TV or use the printer without having to give them access to my main network and then changing passwords when they leave.

This was (and remains) an option on the original Orbi series, but which has never been present on the AX products.
Another solution to the very real need to allow Guests to access specific resources is to install an inexpensive WiFi extender (of any brand). Every WiFi extender I have installed has had the option to rebroadcast the existing WiFi SSID create a new WiFi SSID.
If guests connect to the extender, they will be on the primary network and thus able to access printers, Chromecast, etc. One they leave, you can unplug the extender, change the password, or use the Orbi 'app' to Pause the device.
