Had Comcast 1.2gbs for awhile. Speeds always stayed at 900ish. Assumed it was Xfinity issue. Upgraded to Comcast 2gbs with their router. Still getting 850-900 speeds but my upload tripled. Did some digging. My rbr850 is showing wan port at 1000m/full rather than 2500. How do I change that

What Firmware version is currently loaded? What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? Be sure the ISP modem or ONT supports 2.5Gb WAN port speeds on it's WAN port. Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
The RBR auto detects connection rates so if all is good, the WAN port should see 2.5Gb.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update? Be sure to restart your network in this sequence: Turn off and unplug modem. Turn off router and computers. Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect. Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect. Turn on computers and rest of network.
Did Comcast provide a new Ethernet cable with the new modem?
Not to rag on customer service, but there have been times when companies honestly believe they have taken some action on a customer account, but have not "checked all the boxes" and the speed upgrade is not actually implemented.
