1gb modem capatability when using Orbi
just upgraded to a Comcast modem Technicolor CGM4140COM 1gp speed
speed tests on a PC directly wired to the modem are 900mbs plus
orbi working fine but wireless speeds not higher that 250mbs
am i getting all i should from this setup? any suggestions on what i should be tweaking? is there a better choice than Orbi? should i be changing any settings?

Depending upon your wireless device, design and handling of speeds, most you'll never see is about 400-500Mb for wireless. Nature of the beast. Wired will and should always be near 900Mb.
You'll have to contact your wireless device mfr to see what the actual speed handling they support.
Besure when you hook up your Orbi router to the ISP modem, that you factory reset the router, set up the router from scratch, set up wireless ssid names and PW and thats it. Do not enable the QoS speedtest app, traffic meter or access control as these may slow the speed down from 900Mb.
