Abode Streaming Video on Orbi
Abode Security Streaming HD Video issue on ORBI WiFi. (Yes, this issue is an open ticket to Abode Support.)
Background: Abode Security allows for user-generated automations (scripts) to run sensor-triggered tasks. I created a very simple script that sends a "record video" command to an Abode Streaming HD Camera when a particular door sensor is tripped. The automation successfully runs every time it is triggered.
Problem: Abode Security IF/THEN automation doesn't consistently capture video thru ORBI WiFi, but does consistently work thru ORBI ethernet port.
Camera connected to Router via ethernet: Video capture works every time script runs.
Camera connected to Router via WiFi: Video capture sporadic when script runs, but video capture works every time camera is addressed directly thru web or app.
Camera connected to Satellite via ethernet: Video capture works most of the time when script runs.
Camera connected to Satellite via WiFi: Video capture sporadic when script runs, but video capture works every time camera is addressed directly thru web or app.
It is interesting that when there is an air gap in the connection (WiFi or mesh) the the script has problems getting the camera to respond, but when the camera is connected directly to the router (no air gap of any kind), the camera successfully receives and executes the capture command every time.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: Abode Streaming Video on Orbi
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
