Allow IPv6 pings to local devices?
The debug.htm page of my RBR50 provides an option
Allow external IPv6 hosts ping internal IPv6 hosts
This seems to default to enabled. I turn it off when I happen to see it, but it comes back on by itself.
Is there no security risk in leaving this enabled? I would think allowing my computers to respond to external pings would invite further intrustion.

Re: Allow IPv6 pings to local devices?
Given that IPv6 requires fully-functioning ICMP in order to work correctly, I'd say it presents no risk whatsoever (and I'm quite mystified as to why it's even selectable).
"Protection by ping block" went out in the early 2000s. It's trivial to detect the presence of machines by (many) other means.
