Can't Setup New IOT Devices - Firmware Update (2.1.4.16)
With the new firmware taking away the ability to (temporarily) disable 5ghz wireless, I can no longer add new IOT wifi devices.
Existing devices connect fine, though previous process that worked fine was to turn off satellites, disable 5ghz, connect device, enable 5ghz, turn on satellites. I have a new air conditioner that has a wifi connection, though can't add to the Wifi network.

Re: Can't Setup New IOT Devices - Firmware Update (2.1.4.16)
The purpose of MESH systems is to have only 1 SSID name and PW using smart connect. So thats one reason why you can't disable the radios. You can however change the power output of the radios, so you might try setting the power level from 100% down to 25% and see if you can get your devices connected. Once connected, then change the power level back to 100%.
