My wifi speed at the cable modem is 200mbps. I can only get out of the Orbi 94 Mbps. Is there something I can do to get the speed out of the Orbi? The signal everywhere is pretty good, it is just the speed that needs to be adjusted.
Thank you

Update
I did set up the new router that was sent. In talking with Netgear we did 3. things not sure which of the 3 worked but I went from 94mbpl to 200mbps
Here is what we did. Changed chanel on the 5mh to 48, Dumped the app from my IPad, and reinstalled and finally replace the cord between my modem and router. Only problem now is internet drops out from my Macbook, but nothing else. I guess Orbi keeps one thinking.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, LAN to LAN and configure AP mode on the Orbi router.
What is the mfr and model# of the ISP modem?

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
Not sure how your getting wifi speeds at the modem since it's a modem only with wired LAN cable connector...Did you mean wired?
Has a power OFF of the isp modem and Orbi then back ON with the ISP Modem after 1 minute, let it sync then power ON the Orbi system?

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
At the cable modem on the provider side it comes in at 200mbps. It is wired from the cable modem to the Orbi sending out the wirless signal at only 94mbps. Even if you hard wired in to a desktop computer the speed is only 94mbps. If you plug indirectly to the modem from the desktop it is 200mbps. Thank you for the help so far.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
I would power cycle the ISP modem off for 1 minute along with the router. Power On the modem and let it sync. Power ON the Orbi router and do a factory reset and walk thru the set up wizard and set up from scratch. Only set up wifi. Don't enable QoS speed control, Traffic Meter or Access Controls.
After the router is setup, do speed test with a browser on the wired PC.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
I did everything you said including factory reset. It made no difference, the speed is still the same.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
Well I tested with a iPhone 6SP iOS 11.4 with my CBK40, same as RBR40 just with cablem modem built in. Saw 200 on the down.
Can you download wifi sweet spots on your phone and let us know what speeds your seeing with the iPhone? THis will test the speeds between just the phone and router...

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
I am having the same issue with my RBK50... My hardwire speed is 100Mbps and wifi is around 50Mbps....
Using Wi-Fi Sweetspots : 130 Mbps
Wifi Ookla: 55Mbps
Hardwire to Orbi Router. : 85Mbps
Hardwire to Modem : 100Mbps
Did factory reset/ Latest Firmware/ Satellite is 30ft away. Customer support said that this is "normal" and if I wanted faster WiFi speeds I should get a 200Mbps connection... Thanks Tech Support.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
Ok so yoru getting high speed connection between the client device and the Orbi Wifi.
Something on the router WAN side thru the ISP modem isn't getting full speed to 200Mb...
Possible problem at the router on wifi.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
I really have no doubt it is somthing in the router. If I hardwire to PC I do get the 200Mbps. That being said I paid a lot of money to upgrade my internet that does not work over 100Mbps.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
I have been on the phone with technical support. We have done everything one can do to a router. I am no better ahead than I was a week ago. However they said after all of the changes we did it could take up to 4 hours for them to take effect. I have never heard of that but what do have to loose. One thing without a doubt it is the router.

Ya, shouldn't take that long. LOL.
Get ahold of one of the forum moderators after wards, if nothing has changed and ask for an RMA.

Re: Internet Speed RBR 40
I was told to check again in a week to see if the settings had "settled" .. We chaged the WAN MTU to 1490 instead of 1500
