Netgear Orbi - Trunk/ 802.1q

Hi folks,

I am interested by Netgear Orbi product familly but i need to be able to configure vlans.

I am using different vlans at home in order to separate my IOT (camera, etc.), guest wifi, etc. so i am using 5 Vlans and tagged ports to connect to my switch.

My question is : Does your product vlan tagging on network ports on the router and also on the WIFI ? ( 1 SSID = 1 VLAN) ?

Few years ago it was not the case but i haven't been able to find a answer to this that is recent. Otherwise, is it in your roadmap ?

Thanks.

Regards.

The community forums are used by customers to talk amongst themselves.  Netgear does not participate.  We are as surprised as everyone else when Netgear releases products or features.

That said, Netgear's residential WiFi products have never had VLAN capabilities and I do not see that happening any time soon.

The commercial versions offer multiple SSID's with the ability to separate them, but I have never seen a product with five SSID's. There is no concept of VLAN tagging on ethernet ports.
