Orbi Guest Network vs Main network speed difference
Running latest 2.7.2.104 firmware
Guest network is faster than main network (like 2X faster)
Seen this elsewhere in the forums. This is obviously a bug/problem with the router. Why doesn't Netgear fix it?
Also, it seems like everyone who has problems gets the same answer - toggling random settings. Why have those settings if they screw things up. Why not just make the thing work to begin with?
I am planning to switch to Eero. As far as I can tell, it actually works and you don't have to spend your life randomly switching settings.

My RBR50 is also on 2.7.2.104. A speed test comparison between primary SSID and guest SSID shows them to be almost identical in performance when tested with a Sony Xperia phone and with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.
My desktop computer, connected with ethernet, records these speed values:
Ookla Speedtest 235
Fast.com 230
Speedof.me 252
Testmy.net 232
On WiFi, the Sony phone and Samsung tablet recorded different values, but they were the same between primary and guest WiFi connections. Just being on WiFi seems to affect some of these speed testing applications when compared to an ethernet connection.
Speedtest by Ookla produces between 231 & 235 down and between 11 & 12 up on both phone and tablet on both primary and guest.
Fast.com produces a smaller number (between 160-180), also for both phone and tablet on both primary and guest.
Speedof.me and Testmy.net are wildly inconsistent from one test to the next on WiFi.
I have no doubt that during those tests the guest network appeared to have twice the speed of the primary WiFi. My results do not support a blanket statement "This is obviously a bug/problem with the router. Why doesn't Netgear fix it?"
It would be interesting to see if this is a wide-spread phenomenon.

Re: Orbi Guest Network vs Main network speed difference
I solved the problem! I got an Eero and everything works perfectly. Also solved all the other Orbi problems I was endlessly having.
