I have an Orbi RBK50 with one satellite and Virgin Media 200mbps broadband. I previously had a Virgin Hub 2 running in modem mode and was getting 130-150mbps. I recently switched to a Hub 3 and have also put it in modem mode but I'm only getting around 50mbps on wifi from the Orbi now. If I plug in direct to the Orbi I get 200mbps.
Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this slowdown on wifi? I tried changing the band but it makes no difference.
Did you update FW and continue or has a factory reset been performed and setup from scratch?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz. Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see: Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

I tried all of the above but none of them made any difference. I did a factory reset. Satellite is about 20 ft from the router. Distribution is not an issue I get the same 50mbps wherever I am in the house.
