Orbi RBR50 Slower WiFi than Wired
We just recently upgraded our service to 1Gig up and down. The Orbi router is showing around 900Mbps up and down, but it is producing a WiFi speed of around 250Mbps and 150Mbps (up). This is slower than with our previous connection which was 300Mbps up and down. With that the router was producing Wifi at 300Mbps up and down. We have rebooted but haven't reset the Orbi. What would be causing the slowness and is there anything else we should try? My understanding is that these routers should be able to produce 1Gig speeds wirelessly. Thank you in advance.

Re: Orbi RBR50 Slower WiFi than Wired
Wireless will never match same speed at 1Gb wired. 5Ghz AC devices max out at around 400-500Mbps. And not all wifi devices can do that. It all depends on support and design of the wifi device and connetion rate.
Mac connection rate on Orbi AC is 866Mbps. This is a connect rate between the Orbi system and your devices on 5Ghz only. This differs from actual bandwidth. https://kb.netgear.com/19668/Link-Rate-and-Transfer-Speed
