Orbi50 - Connected but showing not connected

I think the router is in a double nat because I have a microwave Ethernet connection from the house to my garage.  How do I get into the router to put it in bypass mode.

It might be useful to take a step back first:

  • Which "router" are we talking about?
The Netgear Orbi WiFi router?  or
    The Internet Service Provider modem/router?
  • What is the problem this "Double NAT" has created?
Thousands of customers connect WiFi routers to their ISP router and never notice anything amiss.
There are specific situations which a "Double NAT" interferes with:

Most of the consumer radio links (often sold as "WiFi Bridge") do not contain routers.  As far as the underlying network is concerned, it looks like devices on each end are connected to ordinary ethernet cables.

Model Orbi 50.   THe ISP did not provide a router.  I can see the Microwave connection between the garage and the house.

Symptom

- Appears offline to my lap top and in the app and connects with many devices

- Unable to connect Firestick as it appears offline
