Re: RBK-43S blocks HULU, Pandora, other streaming
orbi firmware: V2.3.5.30
Modem is from ATT - Uverse
I do not see a mfr. but model number is 5268AC / FXN
Not sure if it matters, but when i open the Orbi App, dashboard shows the 2 satellites connected and any devices have i have connected. However, at the top, next to INTERNET it says "OFFLINE" but i can use the web for general purposes thru orbi
Hope that helps.

Re: RBK-43S blocks HULU, Pandora, other streaming
Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly. Then use the Orbi router in router mode.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

You may be dealing with a 2 router situation (Orbi + the AT&T)...??
What was your setup before the Orbi?

Before ORBI ---

Used ATT modem/router to connect all household devices - wired and wireless.

This sounds like you did NOT have a second router. Now with the Orbi you bring another router in the picture which requires a differrent configeration. You made need to set the Orbi router in the AP mode.

Re: RBK-43S blocks HULU, Pandora, other streaming
Network Address Translation (NAT) is the ability of a router to translate a public IP address to a private IP address and vice versa. It adds security to the network by keeping the private IP addresses hidden from the outside world.
When you hear people in here talk about NAT it's usually in a case of 2 routers in the same network.
It ORBI not in router mode now?
if you did nothing to it, it probably is which is your problem since the AT&T device is probably also in the router mode.

You'll have to keep the ISP Modem as ATT Uverse services require the use of the ISP modem and not a customer bought modem.

One other item, I would ask AT&T if you must use their modem. If not, I would dump the AT&T modem and buy your own modem only device.

Re: RBK-43S blocks HULU, Pandora, other streaming
I don't think the Uverse modem can be briged if I remember correctly. I would give Option #2 a try first, then try Option #3. Either one of these should get your streaming services working for you.

Hello @FURRYe38
I tried Option 3 -- ran into a snag almost immediately. I walked thru the video, connected to ORBI WiFi network. It showed CONNECTED.
Then went to www.orbilogin.com --- this is what I get: " Looks like you’re not connected to your Orbi’s WiFi network. Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us." What should I do different or try? thank you.

Re: RBK-43S blocks HULU, Pandora, other streaming
Are you using a wireless or wire connected PC or laptop when your configureing AP mode? If wireless it means that while walking thru this process, you have to get your PC or laptop connected to the Orbi SSID name. Be sure you set up a custome SSID name for the wireless. Can be anything.
Why wire connected PC or laptop is best for this setup configuration connected to the RBR.

My PC connected to the ORBI (with a customized name) via WiFi. Orbi router wired directly to ATT modem. I will try connecting via direct wire to Orbi. thanks.
