RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
My ISP gives me 500/500.
All devices use wifi connection on 5Hhz
When I do a wireless speedtest with macbook pro or iphone X in front of the router or 3-7 feet far, it shows 500\500 speed, sometimes 480\480, sometimes 520\520, but DL and UL speeds are the same all the time and both are near 500
But if I move to the next room or kitchen, which are behind 1 concrete wall, the UL speed appears to be almost twice lower than DL speed.
I made a few speedtests with the same devices and all of them shows around DL=280-300 UL=120-150
Any suggestions?
My previous routers were Amplifi HD and Google WIFI, and both of them gave me the same DL and UL speeds everywhere

This would be one reason: "But if I move to the next room or kitchen, which are behind 1 concrete wall, the UL speed appears to be almost twice lower than DL speed"
Regardless of wifi signal, building materials like Concrete will impact wifi and performanced. Not idea of any kind of wifi.

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
Well, it could be so, but two previous routers (Google and Ubiquite Amplifi HD) are not affected my the walls and perform the same DL and UL speeds. Both speeds dicreases the same way 500\500-----a WALL-----300/300

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
Concrete matierial can effect wireless signal differently.
Can see if any of these suggestions help:
30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. With Concrete, you may need to move RBS closer to the RBR.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
ok
I havу just tested the speed in the same room where the router located, so no walls, but about 10 feet from the router
The results are 480\400. Repeated three times, almost the same always
Noticed your full reply too late sorry

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
Yes. Will vary at times depending on conditions and testing server your connected too as well. Many factors in wireless speed testing which can give inaccurate or varied results.
Wired speed testing is preferred to ensure speeds are what your paying for.

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
I have no setellites, just a single RBR
2.4hhz channel is set to Auto (Ive seen just my iphone only once switched to 2.4, all other devices work on 5hhz all the time)
5hhz channel is set to 48, the unused one. Ive tried every posibble chanel and the issue is still exist
Beamforming, MIMO and WMM enabled
Where can I find the last settings you mentioned?

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
Well there is another consideration as well. Having a single wifi source with concrete around, the single source can only do so much. You might want to consider adding a RBS to help with this building configuration.

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
Addind a satellite will make the signal stronger but will not increase speed I think
I cant see Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only in Advanced\Advanced setup\wireless settings
Here is what I have
plus MIMO and Beamforming lower

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
You might find Armor and Circle under Security. If that is if you enabled them upon initial setup.
Fast Roaming maybe towards the bottom of the advanced wireless settings page.
IPv6 will be under Advanced Settings.
Uncheck the check box next to 20/40Mhz Coexistence. This will set 40Mhz only.

Re: RBR50 upload speed it twice lower than download
What does it mean an old FW?
After setting to 40mhz and rebooting here is what I have.
20 feet far and one concrete wall
