Re: Rbk50 speed issues
You should be seeing near 900Mb thru the Orbi on a wired PC. You wont see this with wireless.
Test different PC on wired with different browsers.
Some older PCs may not have fast enough CPUs for 900Mb. My Dual Cores seem to max out at around 400Mb. I have a Quad Core Mac Mini that I see 800-900Mb on wired speeds.

Or should be older?

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Are there any recommendation for operating way/config?
Media coneverter with RJ45 directly to the ORBI ROUTER.
Could it operate well with 15 cients totally in Router Mode?
Using IPTV for 4-5 hours a day in 2-3 clients every day.
Today, i have to reboot router 2-3 times a week.
Do I work it all properly?
If we bring this new kit, would it work more stable and not have to reboot that much times a week?
Just to know what should I expect here.

"Media coneverter with RJ45 directly to the ORBI ROUTER."
What kind of converter are you needeing? Wireless Bridge?
Distance between the router and satellite(s) is 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.
Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Use WPA2 and AES only for wireless security.
Enable the following:
Beamforming and MIMO.

Try disabling the following
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Fiber goes into Sfp module, and sfp goes into this media converter. The output is CAT6 patch cable 1M to Orbi ROUTER.
Now, distance betwrleen SAT and Router is 30-40m , one floor above.
House is all made of concrete.
Both what you mentioned to disable, and enable, all enabled.
Will attach my current settings for your examination.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Ok, I see what your taking about. That should work fine as I presume the Fiber ONT doesn't have any router built in.
100-130 feet is a bit far. Maybe too far. I've seen only one user post about being about 60 feet in between the Router and satellite when wireless connected with the satellite. You sure about this distance?
Run with those settings and see how it goes. You can try disabling Fast Roaming if you think you don't need it.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Because it is not a straight point to point distance , looked like it is more far, air distance is top 10M.
There you would have most communication wired using CAT6 and with a non managed switch.
Should I run with current settings or change anything?
I believe fast roaming is needed, ain't it?
Any tips and suggestions for better handling network communication will be highly appreciated.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Ok, seems a bit much. LOL
30 feet is better.
If you can, LAN connect the remote satellite to the router would work best for performances between the router and satellite. You can use a non managed non green ethernet switch in between if you like.
Give fast roaming a try of course.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Thats main reason of choosing Mesh, and specifically Orbi, for best wireless connection and perfomenances.
The dedicated band to connect between sat and router is the big pro here in difference of other Mesh kits, and caught my attention.
So, for conclution , current settings are fine, and we suspect here HW malfunction, that causes this issues, including ol' famous LAN issues?
Did I get this right?
I hope not supposed to restart Orbi kit every other day
Last thing's last, any option to schedule an automated reboot for specfic day in the week, and specfic hour?
Thank you for the kind help.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Probably. If you get the replacement in house, set it up and give it a go and see how it works with the suggestions.
Another suggestion would be to try setting the power output levels from 100% to 75 or 50% as a trouble shooting step.
Good Luck.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Finally, RBK50 replacement kit has arrvied.
So it was like, I connected my wired PC to it- 560Mb, and Im like what?!?!
Reboot my PC, and gets **bleep**ing 880-900Mb. Damn I almost got heart attack.
Thing is, on my chinese TV Box, i get 550-560Mb and 880 as highest peak.
Once I connect tv box to the SFP-RJ45 directly (no orbi on the way) I get 950-960.
Is there any setting that should be modified so every Ethernet will get the max of infrastructure?
I hope so, at least I know the replacement is OK.
That is a start.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Glad the new one is working.
You'll have to see what this TV box supports. Something to contact the Mfr about.
Mark your thread solved so other will know for future reference.
Enjoy.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
It is not an issue by the box for sure, because if I go arround the box (straight to SF RJ45) I get the full speed (tv box- SFP RJ 45).
Does changing a region in WIFI settings to USA instead of EU will change anything for WIRED test?
I do see in WIfi I squeeze arround 50-100MB more, question is if it matter to RJ45.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
The capabilities of the wireless adapter on the TV box maybe the issue. The mfr would know what it's thruput speeds are supporting on the boxes adapter.
Changing regions shouldn't effect wired speeds.
If you can get the box connected via RJ45, that would be preferred. Wired always has better performances than wireless.

Which is incredbly weird.
Is there any MTU settings preffered than 1500?

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
1500 is for cable/Fiber ISPs.
DSL can be 1472 or 1492.
Contact your ISP about what MTU values they recommend.
If this is the only device that seems to have odd speeds wired, and other devices do not, I would reivew this with this one device and contact the Mfr about it.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
After contact NG support because my PC not get these 800-950Mb, and waiting for L2 support, I downgraded luckily to prev. ver which is 2.1.4.16.
(Luckily because my previous one could not do it)
I factory def, defined MTU 1400, and disabled Daisy Chain.
Now my min speed is 600, and every 2-5 speedtest is 960, which is great.
Means some issue with FW probably.
Q left now is what should be defined to get full speed, every speedtest.
Waiting for NG L2 phone call back.

Also ask about an RMA. possible you may have a bum unit as well.
Thank you for the update...

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
If previous kit would not get even close to 900Mb, now every now and them 930 gets there.
Because I found disable Daisy Chain somehow decrease WIFI perfomenance, and MTU is back to 1500.
I guess I will have to wait and see.
Thinking about re-upgrade manually, then factory settings.
Hopefully something will happen that helps me finish it ASAP.

Re: Rbk50 speed issues
Well seems like the system is hitting 900Mb, possible that your speed test site could be busy as well. Try different sites to be sure.
Yes, a manual FW re-load and factory reset and setup from scratch would be a good thing to try.
