Sat in a garage?

Hello Community,

I have a RBK50 (Router + Sat, AC3000, latest firmware) that covers my 3300 sq ft home pretty good with the router on the first floor, and the Sat is on the 2nd.  However, I have a problem with my Ring products.

Doorbell Pro: This sits not too far from my router, but I believe it has a hard time going through the wall/closet that it's next to.  The signal seems to drop right on the other side of that closet (even inside).  My thought is to move the router to in between the two windows in the den, which should provide it a little more direct line-of-sight.

Floodlight Cam:  The Ring Floodlight Cam is attached to the outside of the farmost part of the garage (see diagram).  The signal is not great, so my thought was getting a RBW30 and plugging it into the outlet inside the garage, behind the Floodlight cam.

My questions/concerns:

- Has anyone run a RBW30 in more of an 'outside' environment?  It won't be directly exposed to the elements, but the garage is not insulated or heated, so it will get hot during the summer (highs would be 90s outside) and cold during the winter (lows would be -30 outside).  I really don't want to go to a RBS50Y (too expensive).

- Assuming that I move the router to in between the two windows, I would think the router would be about 50ft or so away from the RBW30.  Is that too far?

- Any other thoughts?  Maybe something specific to Ring products?

Finally, I'll say that while the Orbi has improved my overall coverage, I find it's helped only marginally.  I'd consider swapping it out for a different system, if anyone has any recommendations.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the response DarrenM.  I had read those.  I was hoping others with more 'real-world' experience might be able to chime in.  With that said, the specs you posted probably give me the answer I need.
