Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Update: at 9pm PST, I took the 2 RBSs off of Ethernet and had the backhaul on the wireless configuration. Since then, the router has rebooted 2 times with a current uptime of 5 hours. So that didnt seem to work. I just ended up ordering a new CAT6a STP and should receive it withing the next 2 hours. Ill replace that and see what that does.......

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Update #2 - Got the new cat6a STP cable. Installed. Turned off modem and router for 2 minutes. Powered on modem and waited until connection was established. Then powered on router. Have internet os now Ill wait to see if it reboots.
RBSs are still on wireless backhaul

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Yes. STP cabling is recommended if your using the highspeed ports on the RBS.
For ports that don't use the highspeed connection, like 1Gb, then UTP cabling can be used.

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Could you please post the CPU, Memory usage and system uptime from the RBR and RBS IP address/debug.htm web page please?

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
For best operation, performance and avoiding any problems on the cable lines, CAT6A STP or anything STP is recommended.

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Lets make sure the RBR hasn't rebooted with the RBS being wirelessly connected first. Can you give it 2-3 days of observation? IF no reboot is seen, then reconnect the RBS via ethernet using the STP cabling.

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Yep-Sounds like a solid plan. Below is the screenshot you requested. I dont want to jinx it but this is the most uptime Ive had since I purchased the router. I also see my HOMEKIT devices responding now. As a reminder, my devices were functioning only 50% of the time since I purchased the router. AS of the current uptime of 21 hours, the devices have been working without fail....

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Ok looks good. Lets give this a couple of days of up time with the RBS wirelessly connected. IF good at 3 days, try reconnecting the RBS via ethernet. Use CAT STP cabling to connect them.

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Going to recommend you make contact with NG support and either ask about any available beta FW that maybe you can try or ask about a cross RMA option:
https://my.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx
https://www.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx
Then clicking on "Get answers about NETGEAR products before I buy" then clicking on "Networking for Home" then "Chat with us".

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Dang it.
Do you have IPv6, Armor, SPC or Traffic Meter enabled?
Something to check if you can please, would you keep an eye on the debug pages for the RBR and RBS? IP address/debug.htm. Please look at the CPU and memory usage values. Take note of what you see first, then say check back in a day again and check the values seen here. On the RBS web pages, check the Hop Count value seen here. Take note if the value goes blank.
I would do a full on factory reset and setup from scratch, when you have time. Follow this please:
Check the afore mentioned items. If you notice the CPU or memory usage go high or say higher than 10-15% for the CPU, there maybe some creep here that when getting high enough, causing the system to reboot.

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
I know I dont have IPv6 or Armor on. Ill have to check on the other 2. Ill also have to read through your request on the debug. But if I confirm I dont have any of the services you mentioned on, I think Ill do a factory reset for like the 25th time first before I start the debug request. Seems like that would at least eliminate on variable

Sounds good.
Something has to be causing this random reboot.

Re: Im having issues with rebooting as well
Ok. Looking at the RBR data, Seems stable CPU and memory use wise.
03/10/2024, 08:27:09 9.03% 1124 MB/1743 MB 1 days 23:06:25
03/10/2024, 08:32:07 0 0 0 <<<I see where the reboot happened.
03/10/2024, 08:37:44 26.29% 1146 MB/1743 MB 0 days 00:04:35
All usage seems stable at this point:
03/11/2024, 17:36:13 8.40% 1121 MB/1743 MB 1 days 09:03:01
However the RBS, I'm seeing a slow creep upwards in CPU and Memory usage:
Poll Time CPU Load Memory Usage System Uptime Hop Count
03/09/2024, 11:24:01 9.88% 606 MB/1743 MB 2 days 16:16:31 1
And ended up here with last test taken by tool:
03/11/2024, 17:33:23 10.15% 673 MB/1743 MB 4 days 21:25:52 1
And maybe still climbing.
Is this RBS wireless or ethernet connected currently?
