No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
After spending a lot of money on Orbi 970 + 2 satellites because I needed a guest network where a lot of people could connect, it is very disappointing to know that it doesn't work.
It took me hours to even narrow it down to discover that the guest network does not work when connected via the satellite.
Any official support or solutions please?

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
What modem/gateway is connected?
What firmware version are you on?
i have the 973 series and my guest network works fine.
What error/problem are you seeing when you try to connect or connect?

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
Firmware Version
V9.12.2.1_1.2.10
I realized that when the guest(s) connects via the main router, it is fine. However, when a guest connects via a satellite, there will be no internet.
The whole issue is that I have bought this router + 2 satellites because my router needs to be near my modem (provided by my ISP), and the satellite is meant to provide strong and good wifi for them to connect further away.

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
Have you tried removing the satellites and re-syncing them?
I'd also check their firmware version to see if its the same (you can do through the gui)

1. Yes I did. Resync and the same problem persists.
2. Firmware is the same. Check via the app and the web interface.

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
Tried resetting the router back to factory and restarting?
I plugged my 973 system back in (testing a different setup right now) and its guest network functioned fine on router/satellites.

How are RBS connected to the RBR? Wirelessly or ethernet connected?

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
I recommend you give this reset process a try:
IF this fails to get Guest Network working thru the RBS, I would open up a support ticket with NG and ask about an RMA.

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
Had a chance to put my 970 series online today. Only tested with one RBS however a iPhone, Mac Book Pro and Android pad all connected to the GN and was able to get internet and stream data.

Re: No internet on guest network connected via Satellite
It is on/off. It could sometimes work for 1 unit, a few devices, or not at all.
When I logged into the web portal and review, I discovered that all devices that were connected to the GN via satellites had no internet.

Via the web portal. I could see which devices were connected via the main unit, or which of the 2 satellites.
