Re: RBE771/770 Firmware 10.5.13.1 is Available!
I do not agree that this release fixes all the issues, I am experiencing random drops, loss to internet, random disconnects, network instability, my RBR850 never had the issues I am experiencing with this much more expensive RBR771.

What random drops are you experiencing?
Where are you experiencting these drops at? RBR, RBS? Connected devices?
What devices do you have connected?
What region are you located?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.
https://kb.netgear.com/31029/Where-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite 🛰
Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-App/NETGEAR-Mobile-Applications-and-Apple-Devices-FAQ/td-p/222...
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Re: RBE771/770 Firmware 10.5.13.1 is Available!
Thank you for all the helpful tips, I have a current case with NetGear and are working with their engineers on fixing the issues, currently running Debugs logs for them. The last time I ran the debug it was for 3 laptops, 1 hard wired PC, a surface pro 7 and steamdeck both wired and wireless for that one. I have wired 2.5gb, WiFi 7 WiFi 6e Wifi 6 so a wide range of different devices and connections to test and run speed tests for them.

Re: RBE771/770 Firmware 10.5.13.1 is Available!
What random drops are you experiencing? Random drops from Satellites and Router to the Modem, It would seem that the signal just drops and the connection to either is lost. Samsung Tab S6, Lenovo WiFi 6e Laptop, MSI Wifi 7 Laptop, MSI WiFi 6 Laptop. A pop-up shows up and says internet connection has been lost, then 2 seconds later it is restored. There are significant lag times for pages to load. Even loading SpeedTest dot net, with a 2.5gb up and 2.5gb down, connected to the RBR850 it would load super quick, however with the 771 load times can take up to 20 seconds.
Where are you experiencting these drops at? RBR, RBS? Connected devices? Both, even connected with the ethernet cat6 cable the drops are still happening.
What devices do you have connected? I have SSID for the main attached devices, IoT set to only 2.5ghz for the Cameras. I have a guest network setup for random devices.
What region are you located? NA
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended. Yes Cat 6
How many RBS are deployed? 2, at times I try just one, but my Ring doorbell WiFi strength drops considerably. Also the other cameras also drop
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? about 1400sq, however it is very strange how it works. I have the Router and Fiber modem upstairs in the computer room, I have 1 of each Satellites located 1st floor at each end of the house. One is in the entryway, another at the backdoor.
What is the distance between the router
and satellite(s)
️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR
and RBS
️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected. At least 30ft, separated by floors and doors.
https://kb.netgear.com/31029/Where-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite
Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF? I have not tried that. I am thinking about turning off WiFi 7 and seeing if there is an improvement.
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices? Yes with both. Different locations in the house, not the same area.
What channel configurations are currently set on the router? Auto
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-App/NETGEAR-Mobile-Applications-and-Apple-Devices-FAQ/td-p/222...
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed since last update? Yes I reboot A LOT
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence: I have done this. I have also tried turning off IoT for about 30 minutes so the attached devices are no longer connected, rebooted the modem, rebooted the router.
Yes.

I would say at least 30 feet or more, 30 feet through walls and floor, more if you go around those things.

Oh I get it, I would think though that its a better system and therefore it should cover what I need. However I am working very closely with RnD on the issue.

Re: RBE771/770 Firmware 10.5.13.1 is Available!
I'm having similar issues. Netgear support said it was due to double NAT with my AT&T gateway (BGW320-505). As recommended, I tried setting the AT&T gateway to IP Passthrough mode but I'm still having issues. I noticed that the Orbi RBE771 has two MAC addresses (LAN Port and Internet Port).
I configured the IP Passthrough using the MAC address that is on the back of the Orbi router (LAN Port), but I wonder if I should be using the other MAC address that shows in the Orbi config screen as "Internet Port". If someone could provide some feedback, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

You need to use the WAN (Internet Port) MAC address. Not the LAN MAC address.

Re: RBE771/770 Firmware 10.5.13.1 is Available!
I have same/similar problems as the others on this thread. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WiFi-7-BE-Mesh-Systems/RBE771-disconnects-constantly/m-p/24105.... Nothing works, I've updated the firmware. I got it months ago and the reliability has seemed to degrade on a daily basis, culminating in a Christmas miracle of a network system that seems to have completely trashed itself.
