Does Orbi RBR50 support multiple internet providers?

Does Orbi RBR50 support multiple internet providers?

I'm looking to get StarLink as a backup internet provider.  Will the RBR50 do the dual WAN thing (failover or load balanced)?

Thanks in advance.

No, it does not.

Some users report success with placing a load balancing/failover router in front of the Orbi.

Ubiquiti EdgeRouter has been mentioned by a number of users for this purpose.

If you go this route, the big decision is whether to leave the Orbi in router mode or switch it to access point mode.

Router mode will allow you to use Netgear services such as Parental Control and Bitdefender Armor.  However, that would create a "Double NAT" which is not capable of supporting a number of very specific applications:

Access Point mode eliminates Netgear features, and makes those specific applications possible as long as the "Dual WAN" router supports them. It also places the firwall, DHCP, port forwarding, etc. etc. functions on the new router.

Good Luck

Which Orbi models do support Dual WAN for the scenario mentioned?

Re: Does Orbi RBR50 support multiple internet providers?

The only Orbi routers that support dual WAN are the LTE models, i.e. LTE cellular plus one typical ethernet WAN connection.

No Orbi router supports multiple ordinary WAN connections.
