GS908 smart switch firmware Update
Not clear how to get to Web gui fir smart switch GS908 as ip address mentioned doesn't open page, also does one have to use ethernet cable in switch to update. Also used discovery on WiFi and ethernet cabled to find switch nothing came back

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- Don't have CD, plus not sure of how to get to Web gui as connected via cable first but ip mentioned doesn't work plus checked underneath device which still didn't resolve issue

What tells you that it has any firmware to update? The installation guide says nothing about that.
Do you mean GS908E? That's not the same thing.
