JGS524PE 2.6.0.48 - Memory leak?
I have a problem with this switch where after about 5-7 days of use it simply grinds to a halt, and the only thing that will fix it is a reboot/power cycle. Is it possible there is a memory leak in the firmware?
One feature which would be great if it were available would be a scheduled reboot to clear any possible problems of this type. It is annoying to have to get to the point at which a restart is needed before then having to carry it out.

Welcome to the community! 🙂
Try to perform a factory reset on the JGS524PE and observe if the same problem will occur. If ever the same problem recur, kindly access the JGS524PE product support page here then click on the button that says 'Guided Assistance' for a hardware check with the NETGEAR Support Team. If the switch is proven faulty, an online replacement will be processed for as long as the device is still within the hardware warranty.

Re: JGS524PE 2.6.0.48 - Memory leak?
Do you think it is likely that it is a fault, given that it only happens after at least a week of working OK? Also, if it is a fault, how will Netgear support identify it if it only happens after working OK for a week?

As far as I have checked, there is no issue logged that describes exactly or similar as per your initial post in which it is possible that your concern is an isolated case wherein the hardware is at fault.
Also, if it is a fault, how will Netgear support identify it if it only happens after working OK for a week?
Possibly, the NETGEAR Support Expert will configure Port Mirroring on your switch and get a packet capture. The packet capture will run until the event the issue happens. Then, the captured packets will be analyzed.

That is very helpful. I will contact them to see whether they can do that.
