Recover an old GS724T V3
I have fallen into the trap of updating the firmware on this unit.
It's from ebay which netgear didn't allow transfer of lifetime warranty.
I have read a LOT of info but just can't get this to talk to windows 10. I'm struggling to even get putty to open a console, widows seems to know they're is some kind of connection and I have had to find drivers to get things to connect but it's just not happening.
Any help please?

Re: Recover an old GS724T V3
A little bit vague on what exactly you wanted to achieve or what you have tried.
All the Netgear Smart Managed switches have no phiysical, (serial line) console port.
However, all are configureable and manageable from a decent Web browser, leaving alone the legacy (but sometime challenging to install all the requirements) Netgear Smart Control Center at this point.
Connect the switch to yor router LAN port, do a factory reset (check the fine documentation https://www.netgear.com/support/product/gs724tv3/#docs FMI), then use either the NETGEAR Discovery Tool, or check your router connected devices list (naming varies) to find your "new" switch LAN IP address. Then open a Web browser, and type the http://192.168.1.234/ for example, login uing the default password, and start to explore the switch Web UI

Lifetime warranty is applicble to cover the hardware system functionality only, and is available to the original buyer only.
