VLAN not working - GS308E - 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Plus Switch and OPNsense v22.7

 
Environment:  OPNsense v22.7 router connected to Netgear GS308E switch.
 
The PC I want on VLAN 10 is on port 8.
Port 1 on the switch connects to the OPNsense router.

 

The port on the OPNsense router is configured for 1 VLANs - 10.

 

Using the VLAN 802.1Q Advanced on the Netgear switch:

 

The Netgear has 2 VLANs (1 and 10).

 

I tried to configure based on this post:  https://community.netgear.com/t5/Plus-and-Smart-Switches-Forum/VLAN-Not-Working/td-p/1608153

 

PVID:

Ports 1-7 have PVID 1

Port 8 has PVID 10

 

VLAN Membership:

VLAN 1: port 1 is tagged.  Ports 2-8 are untagged

VLAN 10: Port 1 is tagged.  Port 8 is untagged.  Ports 2-7 are blank (no U or T)

 

I am trying to have the PC on port 8 assigned to the VLAN 10 and on a separate 192.168 network from the VLAN 1 ports.

I have devices on ports 2-7 that I need to keep on another 192.168.0.0 network.

 

The VLAN 10 traffic does not appear making it to the OPNsense router.

Welcome to the community!

 

Have you tried setting port 8 on VLAN1 as Untagged on the switch so that only VLAN10 is marked as Untagged for port 8?
