ReadyNAS in combination with ReadyCloud web interface probs
Hi everyone, i'm having some setup problems.. hope some clever mind can help me out asap here ))
Was searching this forum, but couldn't find a similar case.
First of all i use the this:
READYNAS102
Fw 6.2.2
Internet access is active
Locally LAN accessing the shares on the NAS is working perfectly. Just using SMB.
Now i'd like to give access to my girlfriend who would like to access the files over the internet, webbased.. she doesn't want to install a vpn client.
So first I created an (admin) account on http://readycloud.netgear.com
Secondly i activated on the admin NAS console CLOUD/READYCLOUD with the created account.
That worked, also READYNAS REMOTE activated automatically.
Then i went back to the http://readycloud.netgear.com, signed in with the created account.
The discover tab found my NAS device, so far so good.... but i can't see nor browse any files files or folders.
The list is completely empty!? Refreshing, clicking nothing helps.
What am i doing wrong? I followed the NetGear setup manual.
Removed the accounts, disactivated the cloud services.. and again, nothing helps.
Can anyone tell me what can be the cause? Do i have to activate other protocols to make this possible?
Thanks for the help!

- EskenderNGNETGEAR Employee RetiredHello,
does your username contain upper-case characters? If so, please try all lower-case letter as a test.
Bye,
Eskender - nicosamynAspirantHi Eskender, thanks for the reply.
Yes my username has uppercase characters. Shall i login lowercase or delete the complete account and make a new one?
I'll try and post the result.
Regards
Nicolas - nicosamynAspirantEskender, you're great!
I disconnected the user in NAS admin console, didn't remove the account.
Connected again in lowercase and it works!!
Thanks a lot for your help
Nicolas - EskenderNGNETGEAR Employee RetiredHi, great! Although I meant to create a new user with lowercase only...
