Plex media server on ReadyNas 424 issues after firmware upgrade to 6.10.7

I recently upgraded my Readynas 424 firmware to 6.10.7
Ever since I have had problems with Plex. Sometimes the app will not initilase and run. When it does, the movies stop playing continually.
I am thinking of downgrading to whichever version of Readynas firmware I had installed previously (ps how do i find this out??).
Hopefully that will fix the problem but I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue?
I have plex media server version 1.24.1.4931-1a3…. installed.
On the plex NAS compatiability guide it looks like the 424 is no longer supported for their latest version 1.29.1.6260-420892357 - link here https://support.plex.tv/articles/201373803-nas-compatibility-list/

Did you ever see it there before?
I'm asking because there are other ReadyNAS missing that clearly will work - the RN628x for instance.
