Write to system log
I have a Readynas DUO (v1/sparc) on which I am running some simple cron-scheduled custom scripts (shell and python).
I currently log messages from these scripts in simple text files but I would like to write some of these messages to the system log so they show up in FrontView etc.
Is this possible somehow from a script or do I need to create an add-on?
What is the easiest way to achieve this?
[Couldn't find any posts regarding this]
Cheers!

Re: Write to system log
Take a look at the add-on SDK (https://gitorious.org/readynas/frontview-sdk/), specifically the add-on installation and removal scripts. These should point you in the right direction.
