Plex on NV+??? Please Help....
Hi Guys
I ended up buying the NV+ today... LOVE the machine!... However in researching before purchase, I thought that the NV+ would be able to run the Plex server software... I find out now that its the NVx that would run it!!! DAM! haha..
Is there ANYTHING that I can do to get it running? I really want the PLEX (or equivalent) solution running on the NV+. Any help is really appreciated!

- Absolutely nothing - Plex is developed only for systems based x86 processors. Two options
1. Return and replace the NV+
2. Run Plex on another x86 based machine (Mac, Windows or Linux) but store your media on the NV+ (This works well) - Crap... Is there another type of media server that will run on the NV+? .... Im looking for something that has a good interface like plex... (with the ability to stream and have a graphical look to the user... like with all the thumbnail icons and movie metadata stuff)... Any ideas?
Thanks guys... Appreciate it! - No. I would suggest following sphardy's option #1 if possible and purchase a ReadyNAS Ultra, Ultra Plus or Pro.
- THanks for the suggestions guys... Unfortunatley getting a new device wont cut it! haha.. My WIfe will kill me, given that I just bought this and the price I paid!.. Forking out another 200 bucks for a ultra or pro wont work...
So that being said... There really isnt anything the NAS can run that will work with some kind of a graphical front end....? - Option 2 that sphardy suggested would work.
- How does one get this PLEX app? I am trying to run Itunes library on the NV+ and my Itunes app on my Win9 64-bit PC but Itunes is incredibly S L O W, performance is beyond bearable!
- Has anyone had any luck in running the itunes library on the NAS and core programs on their desktop PC?
