help with data recovery after HD swap
Hi,
I recently had a hd fail on my readynas duo. I took the remaining good drive and put it into a usb enclosure to backup my most sensitive data.
I then bought 2 brand new HD's for the duo and setup the nas fresh.
I'm trying to get the rest of my data from my remaining good drive back onto the NAS, but when I plug the usb enclosure into the usb ports on the nas, It seems like I can only see the first partition (the os partition). The nas wont see the second partition with my data on it.
So far, the only way I have been able to see the second partition is by using the usb enclosure on a windows machine and using an ext file viewer, but that does not seem to be stable enough to transfer 100's of G back to my nas.
Any suggestions how I can get the NAS to see the second partition via the usb enclosure? the drive was formatted initially by the nas itself.
Thanks

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI think you'd need ssh to access the data through the USB port.
I'd try linux reader on the windows system instead of the ext file viewer (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/)
