AC1900 signal degradation?
I have been using a nighthawk ac1900 for a few years. The first year + it had solid range (1000 feet). Now I'm lucky if my signal goes 20 feet. I have upgraded the firmware, i have reset my modem and router hundreds of times. I have 500mbps download (lucky to get 140mbps right beside the router on 5ghz). If I am 20 feet away I'm lucky to get 10mbps. Is this router just shot? Been debating putting dd-wrt on it.

AC1900 is a speed! Do you have the R7000 or R7000P router?
Which firmware version?
(Your router is getting (very) old. Time to upgrade to current standards)
