Can't set up router
I moved a few weeks ago and finally getting around to setting up the router but I can't log in using 168.192.1.1 or 192.168.1.1
At best 192.168.1.1: I get the log in screen but admin/password comes back as invalid. I tried the reset button on the router (I set it up years ago and probably changed the settings, so reset it is)... but even after reset - invalid.
At worst: Sometimes it doesn't go to the log in screen and redirects to that 'download our app' BS page and thus an endless loop (click here if you don't have a phone, right back to app)
I tried direct in but I may be doing that wrong.
Tried Firefox and Chrome
What's next?

Are you doing this with the router connected to a modem? If so, what is that modem? Could it be a modem/router?
You can also try using the R6230 on its own, with a wired connection from a PC.

You've moved house. The internet service won't be the same, so a reset is essential so that the thing forgets any past settings.
Manuals are always a good place to start.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.
Look for the model number on the label on the device.
Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.
You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Internet
Remember - I am ONLY asking about getting logged in to my router settings - not about getting the to work with the current internet.

-Everything works fine except getting logged in to adjust settings. The house modem and router work great, no issues. I have tried logging in without it attached to the system and with it attached.

I tried that but may have done it wrong. Not exactly certain I recall the process right but I had done that years ago.

-LOL
Everything says to go to routerlogin.net which brings you to their BS app page.
Again, so much here seems to be about getting started and connected to the internet. That is not the issue. I want to get into my router management and settings.

People cannot provide you with helpful answers without detailed information from you.
Is there any reason why you are reluctant to tell people what the modem is?
In 90 percent, probably more, of these symptoms the answer is down to the modem. But who knows when your first message missed out many of the details that appear in your reply?
