I upgraded from V1.1.0.64 to V1.1.0.66 and experienced the following problems:
1) google home device cannot connect to the wifi (5G connection)
2) smart plugs accessed thru Smart Life app on my phone go offline and come back on line about twice a minute. (2.4G)
3) Cell phones configured for both 2.4 and 5 G switch between connections every couple of minutes.
Reloaded saved configuration from 2 weeks ago, no improvement.
Installed firmware V1.1.0.64 and everything was stable again. (
Installed firmware V1.1.0.66 and problem re-appeared.
Firmware installs done as admin thru web browser with ethernet connection to port 1 on 6220.
This R6220 is being used as a wireless access point. Currently working and stable using firmware V1.1.0.64.

Did you reset the router to factory settings after the firmware flash?
New firmware sometimes introduces changes that are not compatible with the old configuration.
So while it isn't guaranteed to fix problems a factory reset is the first thing to try if you have issues with new firmware. Wifi seems to be particularly prone to this phenomenon.
This is a nuisance because you then have to reconfigure the device all over again.

Possibly not a good idea. You can backup your settings before you reset and restore them later. But that may just bring back the fault. Then again, at least you will know if the reset fixed the problem.

No, I have not tried a factory reset.

Re: Firmware R6220-V1.1.0.66 problems with wireless connections
The factory reset and reconfiguration solved the problem.
First I upgraded to firmware version 1.0.66
The link to the internet (Ethernet to my ISP's router) did not come up, but I unplugging the ethernet cable and plugging it back in brought it up.
I verified I still had issues with connections being unstable.
I did the factory reset (which changed it back to a router from an Access Point).
I rebuilt the configuration while in router mode and got everything working - Access control, guest network settings).
I then converted to be a wireless access point.
Everything has been stable for several hours.
Thank you for suggestion of doing the factory reset.

Thanks for reporting back that it worked. Always helps to have feedback.
There are people who consider it witchcraft to talk about a reset. But it has bailed out a lot of people in the past.
