XS728T Can't change LAG to LACP
Hello,
have a new XS728T, Firmware 6.5.1.26
Got some strange behavior while trying to configure LAG.
- can't create new LAG
- can't change LAG-Type to LACP on predefined LAGs
getting Message "LAG type cannot be changed for LAGs with no port members"
(Members are configured).
I've tried it with different OSes and different Browsers, including those recommended by Netgear.
Anyone here, who knows a solution?
thanks
Ferdinand
Hi Westerkappeln,
Welcome to Netgear's online community!
If your trouble is still there, kindly suggest you to check if the ports that in lag up or not.
If none port is up,it is normal that unable to chage the lag-type.
Now two suggestions for you (pick up either one)
1.Bring port members up(at least one of the port menbers is up),then you can change the type of lag.
2.Delete the predefined lag, then config a new lag with type of LACP.
May the answer helps
Regards,
Carl_z

Hi Westerkapeln,
Welcome to Netgear's online community!
If you can, please attach snapshots of the LAG Configuration, LAG Membership pages and the error displayed on your XS728T.
Also see the LAG configuration steps on pages 45 through 47 of the XS728T Software Admin manual below, just in case something was misconfigured.
See here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/XS728T/XS728T_User_Guide_SWA_20150714.pdf
Thanks

Hi Carl-z, Evans-o,
thanks a lot for your help.
added an active port to the LAG, changed LAG-Type to LACP and afterwards removed the active port.
I never could imagine, that this works, but it does :-)
I still can't neither delete predefined LAGs nor create my own, but this doesn't matter. That's a thing, I can live with.
Thanks again, and have a nice day
