Nighthawk AXE3000 WiFi 6E USB Adaptor will not connect to 2.4G with RPI
I have 2 of these AXE3000 Wifi 6E usb adaptors and several RPI4's with latest RasperianOS and kernel installed. The USB stick (wlan1 on the RPI) connects just fine to 5G networks but not to 2.4G networks.
Symptoms:
- Associates but does not authenticate
- Associates and authenticates but does not obtain an IP address
- Does nothing, the router log is devoid of an refernences to the mac of the stick and packet counters on wlan1 (rpi) are not incrementing
- Very occasionally is will connect and pass traffic but that is a rare occurence and usually takes a very long time to obtain and ip address.
The onboard RPI wifi chip connects just fine to the routers 2.G network. The router in question also uses a mediatek chip.
Any help appreciated!
thanks
