GS316 Setup -- Possible to have Router downstream?
We're remodeling our house and have put in a home run in our new utility room (in the basement of our 2 story house). Here I have my Spectrum PC15 Cable Modem which then connects to my GS316 switch. After this I have cables running to 16 different rooms. At the living room connection, I have my R6400 Nighthawk WiFi Router.
At the moment, the internet only works for devices connected directly to the router. I know I could get the other ports working if I moved the router to sit between the cable modem and the switch....but I'd prefer to leave it in the livingroom which allows the best WiFi coverage for the whole house.
Is there a way to keep my current layout and get my 16 wired connections up and running?
Thanks!

I'm afraid that the only way is to properly set it up. The proper order of the connection of your network devices should be: SpectrumPC15--R6400--GS316.
Since you need WiFi coverage in the living room, I suggest you to deploy an Access Point to the proper network setup I mentioned. For the Access Point, I recommend you either the WAC505 or WAC510. The proper order of the connection of your network devices would be as shown below:
To know more about the specifications of the WAC505 / WAC510, kindly check its data sheet here.
