Cant Access folders on NAS in windows but on Mac its Fine
Hi Guys,
I have readyNas 104 that ive been using fine for a couple of years with my Macs. Ive just tried to access the NAS on a PC via windows explorer and I can see the NAS listed but when I click on it on the right hand side it says "folder empty" I have enabled all the available protocols on the NAS but still no go. An ideas?

FIrst check to see if SMB is enabled for the shares (its not enough to enable it on system->settings).
Then for one share, try going to the "file access" tab on the share settings, and click on "reset".
Let us know if that helps (and if not, there are other steps we can try).

OK I found a solution. In windows explorer in the address I typed the IP address followed by the share so it looks like this \\192.168.1.1\admin and guess what it prompted for my credentials. I entered my username and password and I now have access
