Error backup job USB---ABC: destination cannot be accessed
A couple times I week I plug in an extrenal USB drive to the NAS and from the NAS gui I run some backups, manual start, not on a schedule. About every 3 or 4th time I do this procedure I get a error message "destination cannot be accessed". I then go the settings of the backup tast and then to the destination tab and the correct USB location is choosen, but I have to re-select it and then start the backup task again. Once that is done, everything works fine.
What could be causing this?
I ALWAYS use the NAS gui to eject the USB drive before I unplug.

Hello FG,
If you select to auto eject the USB when the backup job is done or eject the the USB from the gui this will unmount the USB hard drive from the NAS and the destination for the backup job will be disabled. when you connect the USB hard drive to the NAS make sure it is properly mounted and try to test the connection of the destination before manually running the backup job.

I am aware the "ejecting" the USB will disable the destination, but that is the proper procedure to disconnect the USB, correct?
And that doesn't explain why I get the message "destination cannot be accessed" about every 3rd or 4th time I plug the USB into the NAS.

Hello FG,
What is the capacity of the USB hard drive? Are you connecting the USB drive on the same usb port of the NAS? If you notice the destination of the backup job, you need to declare the USB port where the USB drive is connected on the NAS. What firmware version the NAS is running at?

USB is 2TB
I have a cable plugged into back of nas that stays connected to NAS. Yes, I plugged into same port every time.
Firmware 6.7.5
