Indexing for file search when using windows 10
Good morning,
Is there a feature or an app from Netgear that allow windows10 users to have an indexing of the files contained into the ReadyNAS?
I'm asking because I'm trying to shorten the veeeeery long time that the windows research tool take for the research of a file located on a shared/LAN folder (like the ones we have with the ReadyNAS).
Thanks in advance, regards

What NAS model do you have, and what firmware is it running?
OS 6 ReadyNAS running current firmware do have a built-in file search. But Microsoft doesn't provide a way to integrate it into Windows, and you need to log into the ReadyNAS admin web ui to use it.

Thanks for your support.
If you are talking about the search tabs highlithed in the enclosed image, I've tried to do a sample search (with a file name that is very recurrent on my NAS) but it didn't work...
In any case I think that it is an important issue... Shoulnd't maybe Netgear develop a research tool/application that can be run in windows?

That is the one, though it works on my NAS. Has the indexing finished?

It would be very useful. Perhaps post it in the idea exchange.
At the very least, it would be helpful to have an option to make the web interface available without needing to log into admin web ui.
