NV+ V2 Admin Screen Not Accessable
Hey all,
Apologies if there's already a post on this or this is the wrong forum section, this seemed to be the best place for this question....
I have a NV+ v2 that I've forgotten the admin username and password I setup for it. Unfortunately I've also forgotten the recovery email address and answer. I've shut it down and did a firmware reset in the boot menu, but this seems to not be taking effect. When I go try to log in using admin/admin after the reset, I'm not able to get in, and it looks like the old username and password settings are still there.
I'm on firmware 5.3.8, would updating to 5.3.9 solve my problem? Assuming I can even do the update without being able to access the admin screen...

Welcome to the forum! - OgrocAspirantThanks. Apologies for the slow reply, but I was able to get in and get the password reset and the firmware updated to 5.3.10.
Now if I can just get the thing to account for the new drive I just put in and expand the space available. Had 2 WD20EARX 2TB drives in, and added a WD20EFRX 2TB drive. Bay 3 light is on on the NAS itself and RAIDar shows the drive as well, however, my drive space still only shows 1.8 TB available. I've got it setup in XRAID2 so it should have expanded automatically when I put in the new drive, correct? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserHow long has the new disk been inserted?
- OgrocAspirantBout 2.5 hours now. Still says I only have 1.8TB of space.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIs it currently resyncing? With high capacity disks it can take a while for the disks to sync.
- OgrocAspirantLooks like it is now after a reboot. Says it's reshaping.
- OgrocAspirantLooks to be good now. Shows I have 3.6 TB of space now.
Thanks all for the help and patience with the noob. :)
