No access from XP through CIFS
Hi,
I have a NAS NV + envirronnement a professional.
Access via the FrontView is OK, ftp access too, but I have no access from the PC running XP.
Firmware version: 4.1.8 RAIDiator
The IP address is on the same subnet as the PC.
With Wireshark, the authentication has a problem when it ask to the apache server...
But the same login/password works good for others authentification methods .
Have you some idea?

- noahbuccaAspirantwith different options, the negociation is only with the smb protocol, but it doesn't work anymore.
th response of the nas is: "NT Status: STATUS_MORE_PROCESSING_REQUIRED (0xc0000016)" and it asks the password again and again... - StephenBGuru - Experienced User4.1.8 works fine with my XP system; I am not seeing your issue.
- noahbuccaAspirantI have change the security mode to ADS, it works well since the AD but not from the workstation or server other.
- noahbuccaAspirantI looked in the logs samba, it accepts the authentification correctly.
But Windows XP continue to ask me a password to mount the share, and refuse all accounts. - HyraxAspirantI'm having a similar problem with my ReadyNas Ultra 4, using firmware RAIDiator-x86, Version:4.2.19. Previously I could access all of my shares but within the last month I've done two things that may be causing the problem. I updated the Ultra from the 4.2.15 firmware to the current version and I updated XP with a lot of security updates. I'm not sure which update is causing the problem, but I believe it was the XP security updates.
I'm still looking for a solution to my problem, I'll post if I find anything. - StephenBGuru - Experienced User
Works fine with my XP professional system and my Pro. XP is up to date on Microsoft security updates, and the pro is running 4.2.19.Hyrax wrote: I'm having a similar problem with my ReadyNas Ultra 4, using firmware RAIDiator-x86, Version:4.2.19.
