ReadyNAS 2100 - Error Encountered Uploading Update Image
I have a ReadyNAS 2100 with firmware 4.2.5. Everytime I try to update the firmware I get the message: "Error Encountered Uploading Update Image". I'm not sure really what to do at this point but haven't been able to setup the email alerts and feel that this upgrade is necessary to get the additional options I'm looking for.
Anyone know what might be causing this?

Re: ReadyNAS 2100 - Error Encountered Uploading Update Image
Could perhaps be due to OS partition being quite full.
Are you able to download the logs (Status > Logs > Download all logs)? If so, could you extract the contents of the zip file and post the contents of disk_usage.log?
Also I would recommend updating to 4.2.16: http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_x86_4_2_16_Notes
Then updating to newer firmware.
4.2.5 is very old firmware.
I recommend Using Gmail with the ReadyNAS

Re: ReadyNAS 2100 - Error Encountered Uploading Update Image
disk_usage.log:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/md0 4.0G 368M 3.5G 10% /
tmpfs 16K 0 16K 0% /USB
/dev/c/c 5.4T 1.7T 3.8T 31% /c
Where would I get 4.2.16 and then how would I manually install it?
Thanks for your input

Re: ReadyNAS 2100 - Error Encountered Uploading Update Image
It does not appear that your OS partition is full based off of that information you displayed above.
http://www.readynas.com/download/RAIDia ... x86-4.2.16
The link to download 4.2.16 is above.
After upgrading to 4.2.16, I do recommend downloading and upgrading to the latest, 4.2.21. If it fails again, the link is provided below:
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... x86-4.2.21
If you have any problems, please contact support.

Re: ReadyNAS 2100 - Error Encountered Uploading Update Image
What web browser and version are you using? There's a possibility the browser you are using is incompatible with 4.2.5: http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_x86_4_2_5_Notes
If you haven't already try doing the update with a different browser.
Remember 4.2.5 was released back in May 2009. Updates to browsers since then may have broken compatibility with Frontview. So if you have an old browser from around that time you could try for doing the update that would be good.
