ReadyNAS not accepting sftp connections

I have a fixed IP address from my Internet Service Provider and on my router have port 22 fowarded to my ReadyNAS local network IP. I have confirmed the ports is open via https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
ReadyNAS has SSH and FTP enabled for administrator account
fFTP connection is working fine
SSH has keyfile pair generated by Puttygen, as well as passphrase
However with FileZilla, I cannot establish an SFTP connection to ReadyNAS at that fixed IP, on port 22,
FileZilla reports 'Fatal: unable to initialise SFTP on server: could not connect
Error: Could not connect to server'
How do I progress from here?
On the basis that it is more secure and supposedly slightly faster than FTP, I am keen to get SFTP working, to allow for automated weekly backups of a website.
Any help much appreciated?

In answer to my own question - ensure Rsync Only setting is NOT ticked under admin account details for SSH - now appears to be working fine
