Use RN104 with large disks and no or little sync time

I finally got a new NAS to replace my old RN104. I want to use my RN104 as an offsite backup. The backup will be a backup of a backup so the data isn’t super critical. The new NAS is six bay and will store about 32tb of data. I would like to buy some RE certified drive’s probably 2 20tb and set them up with little or no sync time. Is this even possible? Thanks in advance.

You can eliminate sync time by using FlexRAID and setting up two jbod volumes (with no RAID redundancy).
One downside is that you can't expand a jbod volume, so if you do run out of space you'd need to export it, install a bigger jbod volume, and copy all the data back. Though in the case of an RN104 with 2x20 TB you could just set up a third jbod volume instead.
There is no known limit for disk size with OS-6, so this should work. Make sure the disks are SATA and not SAS.
